LET IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP, PLEASE STOP!

How much snow is enough? How much snow is too much?
We've got both! Enough, already, stop - we don't need
any more. BRING SPRING! Why, the temps won't even
go up enough to melt any of that ugly white stuff! I used
to like it, thought it was "pretty", and all that, but too
much of a "good thing" is too much!
This letter will do as February's and March's, as I'm
caught in the middle of doing a lot - working many
hours at the store, and getting ready to help with the
census - 4 days of training next week.
WE ARE ALL FINE! Thank God.
Chartel owns her car now, and is busy trying to keep
it unstuck enough to get to work regularly and to
get to classes. Just chatted with her a few minutes
ago, and she's doing well.
C.J. has his own phone number and plan now,
wanting to show his "grownupness", I guess. Here's
his new number: 717-829-5007. It's a local
(Harrisburg) number, and it's with A T & T, for you
who have free mobile-to-mobile with them. Else,
nights and weekends are free, too. Give him a call,
please, and encourage him. He still wants to get
out of retail and into something with his Spanish.
Cindy has recovered well from her foot operation,
getting the release from the doctor yesterday.
She's at the shop today, as every Tuesday, Thursday,
and Saturday. In a few days she'll be on the church
board, being able to benefit them from her many
years of previous service at other congregations.
She keeps getting busier with church, what with
"coffees", dinners, serving communion, etc., and
her health is well.
I "put on the stripes" briefly recently, refereeing
a 6th-grade boys exhibition game at halftime of
a varsity game. Felt good. Looked good. Heh?
People keep saying I should come out of retirement,
but Cindy says the body won't handle it. She "may"
be right.
We'll be going to Pitt on March 21st and 23rd for the
first and second rounds of the college women's
basketball tourney, thanks to Joy and Doug's gift
at Christmas. Joy is Cindy's daughter who lives in
Winchester, Virginia.
Otherwise, we're anxiously anticipating "March
Madness", when we show each other how much
smarter we are than the other about picking
winners for the tournament. It's fun.
Bill and family are well. We need to pray about a
job opportunity that he's been given. Thanks.
The boys are growing rapidly, and I'll get out to
see them this summer if I have to crawl to get there.
RETIREMENT looms on the horizon, hopefully not-
too-distantly, as the cold and "early" mornings are
sometimes hard to bear. Know what I mean? PRAY.
Blessings to all. Hope to hear from you soon.
New postings on a couple of my other blogs for those
who are interested or just bored. Love, the Richeys.
